Elena (although she prefers Alena) is a fourth year Engineering student at University college. She is the society photographer and has been applying her talents to capture the events of the society for a long time!

Denis is a third year DPhil student in applied mathematics working on simulation of quantum systems. Before coming to Oxford he studied in the US, in the mountain state of Colorado. Denis worked as the treasurer for the society and helped with organization and planning of events for a year before becoming president and continuing the development of the society. 

Maria is a freelance journalist with a strong academic
background and experience in film production. Having a Master's degree
from Cambridge University in Screen Media and Cultures, now Maria is
completing her doctoral thesis at Oxford on the interconnections of
film, literature and architecture, alongside with covering London
cultural life for a number of magazines and newspapers.
 
 

Almat is in his third year of the bachelor course in Mathematics and Statistics at Somerville College. Prior to becoming President he served as a Secretary and Treasurer of the society. As a former president of the Oxford University Asia-Pacific Society and vice-president of the Oxford Investment and Finance Society he will bring invaluable management experience to the benefit of the Russian Society.

I am reading Bachelor of Fine Art at the very famous Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art and I am a part of Lady Margaret Hall college. I was born and did my school in Riga, Latvia, however having grandparents and relatives all around Russia and Ukraine I spent a lot of time in Moscow, Syberia and all around Ukraine - Kiev, Zolotchev and Crimea. I came to England about 5 years ago to do A-level at Cambridge Tutors College in London, followed up by foundation in Wimbledon College of Art at the University of the Arts London.

The society always had a great social life and absolutely wonderful people as its members. Together with the committee I am doing my best to make RusSoc grow culturarly as well as an internationally well-known society, giving its members an opportunity to discover the world of possibilities through RusSoc in different industries.

I will be delighted to share my experience of being part of Russian Society and hear your opinion on any matters going on in the society! In a doubt? I am ready to spread my passion for Russia with anyone in doubt! You will be part of it before you know it!

Lara is a third year English student at St. Anne's college. Although not a native Russian speaker, you could not tell that very easily! She travels to Russia often and she is in charge of film nights at the society!

Inna is a second year Burmese Linguistics DPhil student at Balliol. Inna is responsible for organizing special events at the Russian Society. Inna was born in Ulan-Ude, grew up in Saint-Petersburg and now happily lives in Oxford, sharing her working enthusiasm end excitement with others.

Alina is a second year undergraduate reading for a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Balliol College. She is originally from Moldova but keeps an interest in Russian current affairs and is fond of Russian language and literature. New to the society, she hopes do a good job as Secretary.

Nikita is a Chemistry DPhil student at Corpus Christi College. He doesn't just bring innovation and culture to the society, but takes it to the next level for long-term development. Our dear members already benefit from the work he has done for the society and we can only imagine how the future generations will be a part of this!

Denis is a third year Chemistry D. Phil student and a member of St. John's College.  Denis received invaluable experience in Moscow State University and has been an integral part of the society for a long time. He will be one of the best to find out what was happening to the society a while a go! Incredibly enthusiastic, he will make you love RusSoc, Oxford and anything you wish to fall in love with!
