The evening is opened by Dmitri Akatov performing Mussorgsky's remarkable 'Pictures at an Exhibition', followed by the main prog
ram of the evening 'The Galitzine Sisters' Act'.
'Pictures at an Exhibition': Mussorgsky's most famous piano composition made as a Remembrance of Viktor Hartmann, his friend and Rus
sian Artist. The music depicts an imaginary tour of an art collection consisting of 10 works by Hartmann.
'The Galitzine Sisters' Act': Princesses Sophie and Catherine Galitzine, accompanied by Nicole Rivière-Lapierre, are going to perform well-known Russian romances and European songs.

Sophie Galitzine, soprano - Trained by Simone Blanc, head of the singing department at the Paris Opera House, she graduated at the Sorbonne, in theatrical studies. Sophie has appeared in many opera productions, notably in Mozart’s «
Entführung aus dem Séraïl » in the role of Constance.
Catherine Galitzine, soprano
- About ten years ago. together with Nicole Rivière-Lapierre, her accompanist, Catherine began singing in public places, old people’s homes, private salons, schools and even in prisons. In 2006, e
nding her career as a journalist, Catherine decided to devote her time to the Galitzine Sisters act.
Nicole Rivière-Lapierre, pianist accompaniste - Award winner of the National Superior Conservatory of Paris. First Prize at the Marguerite Long and Jean Doge piano Contest. First Medal for chamber music at the Pierre Pasquier Contest.
Dmitriy Akatov started to play the p
iano when he was 5. He has performed in Russia, Germany and England, where has won numerous prizes as well as a soloist with Merton College in Oxford. Previously performed for OURS in 2007.
