We are proud to announce that this year OU RusSoc is hosting the UK tour of the first International Russian Language Festival. The festival is organised by the International Association of Russian Language Teachers and supported by the Board of Education and Science of the Russian Federation  andby the Russkiy Mir Foundation. This is a first event of its kind, with an aim is to gather together people involved in Russian language learning and teaching processes, to create a collaborative environment and exchange of experience.

The UK tour of the festival will consists of three major events, and is aimed at both masters of Russian language and their apprentices. All the events will be held in Oxford. Please follow us for more details on exact time and venue.
 
Russian Language Textbooks Exhibition will be held on 3rd and 4th of December. About 40 freshly off the press volumes on Russian language learning and teaching will be presented. All those are a gift to Oxford University Russian Society from our co-conveners, which means you will have access to them and can make use of them shortly after the exhibition.
 
Russian Culture Quiz will be held on the 3rd December 12.00 to 14.00. For students of Russian language the quiz is a rare opportunity to master their language skills in a friendly company of masters of Russian language teaching. The finalists will be invited to Saint-Petersburg for the Festival Finale in October 2011.
 
Russian Language Teaching Conference that will be held on December 4th, starting at 11:00, is a jewel in the crown of the festival program. Leading experts in Russian teaching are invited to conduct this event. For the Russian language tutors this event is an outstanding opportunity to familiarise yourself with a cutting edge methods of how to teach Russian, to address any difficulties you might encounter in you teaching practice, and share your insight on how to achieve the best results in teaching Russian Language.
 
Next live tour will be held in the UK and the finalists will be invited to Saint-Petersburg in October 2011 to celebrate the Finale of the Festival.

Oh, just aohtner thing, Nicky. I think you had aohtner advantage over Alan If he started the debate (as proposition), then shouldn't you be the one to start the summary (as opposition)? As far as I understand debate rules, that should have been the case.
