The Russian society is one of the most vibrant Oxford student societies with a long and successful history. The vast majority of Russian-speaking students attend our events at least several times a year, making the Society a focus of Russian social life in Oxford. Our friendly and informal events are also an ideal environment for those who want to practice their Russian language skills or find out more about Russian culture.

How to become a Member

Annual membership is £15 and Life membership is £25.The easiest way to join is to come along to one of our events (as advertised on the Events section and the Mailing List) and to pay in cash.

 

Joining the Committee

If you are passionate about making the Russian Society even better, you might want to think about standing for a Committee position at the end of a term (elections will be advertised on the Mailing List and website in advance, so you will have plenty of time to think it over).

Joining the Committee means that you will be able to make a direct impact on the way the Society works; it is also the first step to Executive committee positions. There are also significant benefits, e.g. free entry to all events.
