Prince Michael of Kent is coming to Oxford. The Prince is a cousin of Queen Elizabeth II. His father, Prince George, Duke of Kent, was the fourth son of King George V and his mother, Princess Marina, was the daughter of Prince Nicholas of Greece and of Grand Duchess Helen Vladimirovna of Russia.

One of the most successful Russian TV journalists of recent times, Vladimir Pozner, will be visiting the University of Oxford on 7th March for an event organized jointly by the Oxford Russian Society and the Russkiy Mir Programme at Nissan Lecture Theatre, St Antony’s College.

Following the talk by Andrei Konchalovsky on 19 November at the Nissan Theatre, St Antony’s College, the Oxford University Russian Society is organising a retrospective of the director’s films in collaboration with artsspc.
We have chosen five films, one for each decade of Andrei Konchalovsky’s remarkable career, in order to showcase his incredibly wide artistic and thematic range.
The retrospective will begin with the screening of House of Fools (2002), straight after the director’s talk on 19 November.
The rest of the retrospective will take place at these times:
21 November – The Inner Circle (1992)
23 November – Runaway Train (1985)
28 November – Uncle Vanya (1970)
29 November – Asya’s Happiness (1967)
All of these screenings will take place at Miles Room, St Peter’s College and will start 7:30pm.
